The NP-99, on Tour under the moniker BBD, is the most used Sonartec club on the PGA Tour in 2007 with over 200 clubs in play. The NP-99 represents over 30% of all Sonartec clubs in play on the PGA Tour this year, and was in the bags of the 2007 Buick Classic winner and the 2007 84 Lumber Classic champion.

The new NP-99 is a hybrid of Sonartec's best selling SS-02 and SS-03 fairway wood models, resulting in extreme playability that will provide all golfers with professional grade trajectory and distance. The state-of-the art design has a horseshoe shaped weight concentrated in the rear of the sole plate for higher lift and a deeper Center of Gravity for an expanded sweet spot. This perimeter weighting system combined with Sonartec's patented technology, the Driving Cavity™, gives golfers of all levels the opportunity to hit the ball with a high, flat ball flight that increases distance.

The NP-99 comes with a high-polish sole plate and face, a midnight blue metallic clear coat finish on the crown and an exclusive "midnight blue" Aldila NV shaft.

"Not only did we spend a lot of time making sure the performance of the NP-99 was second to none by testing on the PGA Tour for a year, we also spent a considerable amount of time making sure that this was the best looking fairway wood on the market," said Sonartec Vice President Jim Uno. "We wanted to make sure that if we were going to name a club in tribute to one of the greatest golfers in the world, that it had to be the finest club ever produced. We feel like we accomplished that with the NP-99."

Lofts for the NP-99 are available in 13° ,14° ,15° ,17° ,19° and 21°. Pre-booking begins immediately as demand for the NP-99 is expected to be very high due to the amazing reaction of PGA Tour players on the performance of the club. The combination of the NP-99 club head with the "midnight blue" Aldila NV shaft will be under limited production. Sonartec Golf plans to ship the special edition fairway woods in early December.

In 2007, Sonartec has had over 90 players use over 600 Sonartec golf clubs on the prestigious PGA Tour. Sonartec has held the #3 rank for fairway woods in play in 13 PGA Tour events, and holds the number 4 spot on the PGA Tour for total fairway woods played in 2007, according to the Darrell Survey.

Sonartec products have been designed to accommodate all ranges of players, from the PGA professional to the average golfer. The unique Driving Cavity™ design redistributes weight in the perimeter of the club head and pulls the center of gravity deep within the club head for forgiveness on miss-hits. The Driving Cavity design also raises the center of gravity, producing a penetrating ball flight that maximizes distance.
